Overview

I am A/P Faculty in the School of Plant and Environmental Sciences.   My position is the Seed Certification Program Administrator, Virginia Tech, Mechanicsville, VA.  Responsibilities: Manage the Virginia Certification Program in a manner that carries out the policies of the State Certified Seed Board and adhere to sound financial management practices. Plan annual statewide Educational Seed Conference and offer  Commercial & Private Pesticide Training for seed growers, seedsmen, and extension agents. Provide leadership in the distribution of new VAES public crop varieties and the collection of royalties to support VA  Tech's Crop Breeding Teaching and Research Programs. Address seed quality issues that arise.
