Landscape Team

The Virginia Tech National Collegiate Landscape Competition (NCLC) Team attends an annual three-day event which brings together landscape and horticulture students with leading landscape companies and dozens of the largest industry manufacturers/suppliers. Our students compete against more than 800 students from two- and four-year colleges to demonstrate their skills in 30 real-world, competitive events. Events include plant identification, design, equipment operation and installation of landscape and hardscape materials. NCLC also offers thousands of dollars in competitive scholarships and features the largest Career Fair in the industry, which allows our students to network with top companies from across the country. Virginia Tech will be hosting NCLC March 8-13, 2021. 

How to Join

An application to join is sent to the SPES, Ag Tech, and landscape architecture listservs in the fall. There is also an informational meeting in the fall.

Applicants are not exclusive to SPES, we accept students from all majors and colleges across campus.
