Horticulture Club

Horticulture Club

The Horticulture Club exists to support our members, our department, and our local community. Throughout the year we bring horticulture to the VT campus with various activities, such as our Fall Indoor Plant Sale, annual rose sale for Valentine’s Day, and the famous plant sale in April.

For our members, we offer scholarships for outstanding participation in the club, as well as offer many social events and outings during the school year. We also represent our major in the National Collegiate Landscape Competition each year where students compete at the national level and meet industry leaders in the horticultural field. For our community, we give back with service and education projects. We participate in The Big Event at Virginia Tech, Adopt-a-Highway, as well as other public clean-up projects. We also have taken the initiative to help maintain the planting beds around Saunders Hall.

Finally, we aim to do a major educational project with one of the local schools to help educate and engage local students in horticulture.
