Agronomy Club
The Agronomy Club is one of the oldest remaining clubs here at Virginia Tech, comprised of over 30 active members. In the years past, the club has stayed involved in community-based services and each year its involvement has increased. Virginia Tech places a large need for service to our community on student’s hearts and Agronomy Club does all it can each year to uphold that standard. Along with The Agronomy Club’s strong impact on the community, its emphasis on professional development has increased dramatically over the years and helped shape the futures of many members. From local co-ops to billion-dollar global industries, representatives from all parts of the agricultural industry have visited to speak on the various roles in the industry. While answering questions, offering career advice, and educating members on current events in the industry, these representatives offer possible internships to members. The Agronomy Club has nurtured these relationships in the industry to allow for opportunities to join well-known organizations such as the Virginia Grain Producers Association, the National Corn Growers Association, and more. The Agronomy Club at Virginia Tech is committed to producing alumni with a deep understanding and respect of production agriculture while possessing qualities and experiences that will allow them to excel in their futures.
